Mr Shuntaro Shiga in Japan started the first business with the
purchased of gear box from Germany
to produce the first augering machine. The first project started in Kobe – the construction
of 8 km railway project. Ryobi-Kiso first work was to carry out pre-boring for RC pile
installation due to very hard soil condition.

1974

Developments
from diesel hammer method of pile installation to purchase of first Sanwa
motor in 1971.

1975
|
Ryobi-Kiso founder and Obayashi jointly development the “Rock
Auger Method” for the removal of underground seawall obstruction for a
project known as Shimonoseki
sea mall.

1999
|
Completed
more than 300 projects using rock auger method for the crushing and removal
of underground RC piles and RC structures, pre-boring of rock layer for
H-piles, extraction of existing piles etc.

1982
|
Ryobi-Kiso started its branch office in Singapore. Tung Centre – Pre-boring into rock layer
for H-pile installation is the first project undertaken by Ryobi-Kiso in Singapore.

Treasury Building – pre-boring into rock layer.

Pre-boring
works into rock layer for MRT construction such as MRT contract C109, C107, Bukit Batok MRT Station.

and removal of boulder for Sentosa Link bridge.

In Japan –
Trench cutting Re-mixing Deep Wall (TRD) method of earth retention system
started its operation. To-date, more
than 55 projects and areas of 243,000m2 of earth retention system construction
using this method completed in Japan.
