Carpet tiles are simply carpets produced and delivered in standard (usually square) dimensions, and are typically used when the area to be covered is too large for a single carpet to be practical. As such, they are usually available in block or repeating patterns. Additionally, they are usually also able to be cut or adjusted to fit the final remaining areas to be covered.
